PSYCHOTHERAPY
Psychotherapy is a goal-oriented healthcare activity that treats psychological difficulties. The goal of psychotherapy is often to promote work and study ability or to cope in everyday life. You can also come to psychotherapy with a lower threshold to reflect on difficult everyday issues or just life-related themes. In psychotherapy, you process your issues with me by talking and using physical methods. The process for each of my clients is individual. In order for change to be possible, there must be moments outside the reception when you stop and reflect on your own being and doing.
In long-term rehabilitative psychotherapy, meetings are usually held 1-2 times a week. Towards the end of the process, the frequency of meetings is often reduced. In short-term psychotherapy, meetings are held weekly or every other week. Commitment and regularity in visits are a prerequisite for the formation of the process. Meetings are held face-to-face at my office or via a secure remote reception. If requested, I participate in network meetings or treatment meetings to the extent possible.
Kela's demanding medical rehabilitation clients meet 1-2 times a week. The meeting time varies between 45-90 minutes depending on each individual's treatment plan. The goal of psychotherapy is to increase everyday agency and participation. Participation refers to, for example, interpersonal relationships and hobbies. Therefore, it is possible to arrange meetings at home or in another everyday environment. If necessary, close relatives or other members of the care network can be invited to the reception.
Customer spaces are becoming available, possibly in May 2025.
